From Lower Manhattan to Park Avenue, this edition of Eye on Art takes us on a tour of some of the public art on display in New York’s parks. We look at a Public Art Fund group show with works by Daniel Buren, David Shrigley, and Franz West at the mouth of The Brooklyn Bridge and then shuttle up to Madison Square where Giuseppe Penone has installed a group of concrete trees that create barren icons in the midst of the park’s greenery. Finally, we head up Park Avenue where American sculptor Albert Paley is debuting a series of large scale polychromed works.
